All permits will be sold online only. This initiative will ensure that all relevant information is provided to the Ministry of Transportation. It will also relieve the burden placed on our volunteers and permit vendors, both of whom spent countless hours doing paperwork, reconciliation and data entry in order to ensure that everything was properly documented. Seasonal permits: on or before November 1st – $190 (+7.50 processing
on or before December 1st – $220.00 (+7.50 processing fee)
December 2nd onwards – $270 (+7.50 processing fee)
Classic permits: on or before November 1st – $150 (+7.50
on or before December 1st – $150.00 (+7.50 processing fee)
December 2nd onwards – $180 (+7.50 processing fee)
All snowmobiles that are model years 1999 and older are eligible for the Classic permit.
A permit is purchased for a minimum of two consecutive days up to a maximum of seven consecutive days for $35 a day. Multi day permits can be purchased as many times as necessary during the season.
Multi day permits are printed on a local printer and will need to be affixed to the sled in a manner similar to that of a “Try Our Trails” permit.
If you do not have your original permit consumers must first file a police report.
Lost Permits – Online Reporting
In order to get a replacement permit, consumers must first file a police report.
The Ontario Provincial Police have an online reporting system which will assist permit buyers in reporting a lost or stolen permit. There are some exceptions to this as the individual filing the complaint must reside within an OPP jurisdiction.
